Fab Friday!

Come on kids its that time again! Time again to go try your best to beat Dan Cakes at some dope ass race. Good luck to everyone who decides to race, hope you win some sweet prizes!

Sunday Ride

The Sunday before thanksgiving, Ran, Dennis, Emery and I went on a ride all over the town, taking footage where ever we could. All of the material that we filmed, and some that we will be filming soon will be made into a little edit soon that I am working on. Stay tuned so you can see some sick shit!

Houston Fixed Gear Shop

Over the thanksgiving break, besides being eating more then my body could handle. I decided since I was in Houston to go check out their local Fixed Gear store over in Montrose. Houston Fixed Gear, its a really dope shop with all sorts of bootleg stuff. Not too much cept IRO frames, B43's and a Spinergy. But it is def a sweet spot. They recently held the revival premier for Houston, and had a great turn out. The place has a lovely staff, and they know their stuff. Def. will be making frequent stops their in the future when I return to Houston.

PK Ripper

Yo for all of yall looking for a tight ass bike, there is a PK Ripper for sale over at Complete Clothing, on 1904 GUADALUPE ST. SUITE C. They're selling it for a grand, which is lower then what they usually sell for at 1,200. So go hit that sweet deal up, or just go over and check out there dope clothing!

Trouble at the Velodrome...

Saw this on eBaum's World...I can't tell if the original poster found it funny or not, but regardless it's quite the accident...

West Coast Footdown

HAHAHA! I don't think I've ever seen a game of Texas Footdown go this slow, nor this easy. Those people on the west coast just don't know what's up...

Footdown starts at around 3:50ish...

It's that time of year again

My lips a burnin. At least we don't have snow to ride over.

Austin Premiere- The Revival

Yes! Dallas and Houston are having their premieres this weekend, but ATX is going to be hosting one a little later on in the year...or rather in 2010. ATX Fixed presents a premiere of The Revival on Saturday, January 16th at Hot Mama's on the East Side. More details regarding times and events to come. They already held the World Premiere in Vancouver and everyone's been saying it's the shit.

EDIT: Screening will be at 8PM. Flier coming soon.

The Revival Premieres

The Revival is another film project coming out of Vancouver, Toronto, NYC, and Seattle. Ed "Wonka" LaForte, John "Prolly" Watson (author of Prolly is Not Probably), Tom Mosher, Zach Hoffner (author of ZLOG Blog), Tyler Johnson, and "hfwido" are just a few of the big names featured in the film. Texas currently has two premieres setup- one at Sides 3 in Houston and one in Dallas (so I've heard). I contacted the Revival people to see about setting one up in Austin for those of us that can't get out of town for a premiere...waiting to hear back from them though. Updates to come later.

Close Call with Lance

Yesterday while coming out from underneath the MoPac ped bridge, I checked my left side to turn onto Stratford, because I knew there was another cyclist behind me. My leftward glance illuminated a cyclist with custom yellow glasses and a Trek frame that most of us cannot even dream of having the money for. I almost turned left into the yellow demon himself (who ought to have given me a heads up).

Ride The Republic

Haha, so some Texans got together, and made a pretty sick edit. What a sweet low rider bike too. Oh ya, and Dan Cakes pulled off his model face like always.
Way to go guys.

Bike Swap Meets

Frankenbike went down this past weekend and I got a dank ass deal on a pair of BRAND NEW cycling shoes for $10. Because Thanksgiving comes at the end of this month, the next is planned for fairly soon. November 12th at Space 12 (3121 E 12th Ave) from 11am-4pm. Word on the street is that there's also going to be a swap meet on the same day at Mellow Johnny's.
